  7.     Today, a professor. Tomorrow, His Royal Highness. Joseph
  8. Edozien, 65, a faculty member of the University of North
  9. Carolina, is to be crowned King of Asaba, a region of a million
  10. people in his native Nigeria. He was chosen to succeed his late
  11. uncle, he said last week, because "I've been exposed to other
  12. cultures. The tribal councils wanted somebody with fresh ideas.
  13. I can do a lot to change the lives of many people." In his few
  14. weeks left in the U.S., his home for 23 years, Edozien will be
  15. packing prized possessions: tapes by Michael Jackson, Lionel
  16. Richie and Herbie Hancock.
